This Privacy Policy describes how aftertheprompt.co (the “Site”) collects and uses your personal information in connection with the newsletter for the book After the Prompt: The Case for Ambient Intelligence by Jean-Philippe LeBlanc. We take a minimal, respectful approach to data.

When you subscribe we collect your email address (required) and optionally your name and role (e.g. Engineering, Product, Design). We do not collect any other personal information from the form.

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to deliver Chapter One to you and to notify you when the book is released. We may use your role, in aggregate, to understand who is interested in the book. We do not send unrelated marketing.

Lawful basis

We process your information on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide by checking the box on the subscription form. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or by writing to us.

Storage and security

Your information is stored on servers we control and, where applicable, on the servers of our email delivery provider. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it.

Third parties

We use a reputable email delivery service to send Chapter One and release updates. This provider processes your email on our behalf under a data processing agreement. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

Cookies and analytics

The Site uses no advertising cookies. We may use minimal, privacy- respecting analytics to count visits in aggregate. We do not profile you, and we do not track you across other sites.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for further processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@aftertheprompt.co. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Retention

We retain your subscription information until you unsubscribe or request deletion, after which it is removed from our active systems within a reasonable period, subject to backup cycles.
